Follow-up when looking at those same accounts that ALL decided to block-THEN-post-a-question:

Joshua Newkirk has only made one post on Medium, back in 2018, and he started his profile with an "Angel Number"... while Jim Sanders has used Medium predominantly to respond to religious posts calling them "nonsense" and "bullshit"... while Steven Rowland writes LOTS of fluffy articles about little things you can do to 'spice-up' your powerpoint presentation, with titles like "How to Use Playing Cards as a Metaphor for Choice" oh, gosh, really?! Explain it to me like I'm 5, Steven.

Why are these random accounts all *blocking* AND then *responding* to my post, such that their responses are hidden from me? I assume that they wouldn't all display that same behavior, unless they know each other, or their accounts are being used by the same person... I've never encountered it on Medium, until now.
