Thank you for digging! I am confident that the facts will rest soon enough, regardless of people being connived into participation in some money-grabbing scheme. This is only the first volley - the DoE's ARPA-E was tasked with looking into the phenomenon, as well... and I point to the dozens of researchers who, for decades now, have published their work and have *not* tried to sell anything, which is counter to the goal of a hoax. I'll be glad to hear as more news trickles-in. :)
